TSP (T Spiral Taps)
These taps are designed with flutes of various shapes and helix angles corresponding to the material to betapped, to ensure that chips are smoothly ejected from blind holes.
T Series Spiral Tap Features
- Users of conventional spiral taps sometimes encounter difficulties in setting the optimum machining procedure to avoid problems such as enlargement of internal threads, or smooth chip ejection. TSP spiral taps were developed to overcome problems of this kind.
- The T-series Taps are unique in feature having cutting edge and a sliding edge. Since TAFLET relief is provided on a teeth of complete thread following to the chamfer part, the thrust power of taps are adjusted and internal threads are not enlarged even if the work material is soft steel. (Not-go gauge IP II stops within 1 thread.)
- Uses ideal flute shape, in which chips curl slightly, and optimum helix angle for discharge of chips. Chips are removed smoothly at the same time thread processing is completed.
